Paramount Pictures announced today that they have exceeded $1 billion dollars in domestic (U.S. and Canada) ticket sales becoming the first studio to pass that benchmark this year. Much of their success can be contributed to hit films “Iron Man” which has grossed $305 million and Spielberg’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” which has brought in $291 million. Paramount topped the $1 billion mark in international sales last week. Paramount Pictures is owned by Viacom, Inc.
