In Berlin, twelve movie extras are suing Tom Cruise and his production company for $11 million in damages.

Last year, the extras received broken bones, cuts and bruises during the filming of Cruise’s World War II picture “Valkyrie”. Extras were injured when the side panel of an antique German army truck burst open as it drove around a corner. The twelve individuals standing in that area were immediately struck because the side panel was not properly secured, says an eye witness.

Ariane Bluttner, the lawyer representing the extras, stated that a second letter has been sent to Tom Cruise, United Artists, and Paula Wagner (Cruise’s business partner), listing the facts of the case and the amount in which his clients are seeking.

“Valkyrie” is due in theaters on December 26. The film is based on a plot to assassinate Adolf Hilter by senior German military officers during World War II. (Source)
