Now if this don’t beat all! Just when I think reality shows have gone too far, somehow, someway, somebody always manages to come along and show me that oh they can go further.

I’m sure most of you are familiar with the heavily publicized, but truly none of our business ordeal that went down with Evangelist Juanita Bynum and her now ex-husband Bishop Thomas Weeks. From the parking lot sideshow to the beatdown charges, possible reconciliation then the numerous unresolved divorce hearings, and finally divorce…Yep it was quite a spectacle! You’d think after all that drama and then some they’d both be somewhere laying low trying to heal and be delivered from all of the mental and emotional ailments that clearly came into play during this fiasco. It seems as if Miss Bynum may be doing so since she’s pretty much been MIA since the divorce was finalized, but as for Mr. Weeks, well that’s a different story.
According to an article in the AJC, Weeks wants a new wife to mend his broken heart and is looking for love again via his own reality show. His efforts to open his heart to love again will be documented in 10 web episodes to comprise “Who Will be the Next Mrs. Weeks?” and will air at noon on Tuesday on his web site www.bishopweeks.com. In a promo for the show Weeks asks “What kind of advice would you give me about the new Mrs. Weeks?” Viewers can share their opinions and give advice through email or by chatting live with Weeks.
While Weeks says the show is not an open call for a wife but more so an attempt to get advice from his followers, I beg to differ. Especially since the article quotes him saying “We will probably find in due time who is that perfect woman for me. This time I’m not going to limit it just to the local church … It’s a global ministry. We’ve got to have a global search.” Not to mention that in his promo he also makes sure to set the personal standard that the next Mrs. Weeks “can’t be ugly, she has to be easy on the eyes.” Sounds like a global search for a cutie to me! I say try a Godly search! Hasn’t he learned anything from Flava Flav and New York? This just may be another case of looking for love in ALL the wrong places! He might as well go to the club!
