According to Rivals.com, the new assistant basketball coach at Kansas State University gets paid 2 times more than any other college or university assistant coaches.

Dalonte Hill will be paid $420,000 this year. The breakout of his salary is as follows: $150,000 in base salary and $270,000 in “additional compensation” such as radio, tv, internet, and other promotional services-for the next four years.

Whew! We may be in the wrong profession. But to Hill’s credit, he has helped lead Kansas State to a 23-12 record in 2006-07. K-State’s 23 wins were its most wins since tallying 25 during the 1987-88 season.
