Grammy winning, R&B diva Mary J. Blige will be lending her talents to the upcoming season of NBC’s hit talent show, The Voice. Serving as an adviser for Adam Levine whose one of the show’s judges, Blige will put her two cents in and assist with mentoring aspiring artists.

 

About being on Team Adam, Blige said, “I love Adam, he’s amazing. I’m so happy to be working with him and his team.” As for Levine and his experience working with the Queen of Hip Hop Soul, he says, “I’ve always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige so it’s been great having her on The Voice.”

 

Blige joins the ranks of artists such as Lionel Richie, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Robin Thicke, Ne-Yo, and Monica who have also served as advisers on previous seasons of the show.

 

Season 3 of The Voice premieres Monday, September 10 at 8p.m. (EST).
