Not only is RZA making a major power move with his directorial debut The Man with the Iron Fists, but he’s going all in with the soundtrack for the film as well.

Pulling together an array of talent on both the lyrical and production side for the soundtrack, RZA says, “It’s very diverse. You have music from Black Keys, music from Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, My Chemical Romance, rock and roll guys, as well as Sally Yeh, who does John Woo movies, a famous Chinese singer. And then we’ve got my buddy Howard Drossin, he’s a trained musician, trained composer and we wrote a lot of different cues.”

In addition to the people he’s bringing on board, Sony granted RZA the pleasure of using the Wu-Tang Clan masters for the film. As for the masters, RZA said he re-orchestrated some of them along with some other recordings given to him by Stax Recordings. Overall, RZA said, “You’re going to have a great time listening to this movie as a soundtrack.”
