When it comes to the media, the first lesson should be “watch what you say”.  Apparently, Rob Parker didn’t get that memo.

Despite his tenure as a ESPN commentator, Rob Parker’s contract was not renewed at the end of 2012.  According to news reports, an untactful (and slightly racial) comment was made by Mr. Parker regarding Robert Griffin’s marriage to a caucasian woman. Parker was on air, during ESPN First Take, when he called RG III a “cornball brother”.  Initially, ESPN forced Parker into a 30-day suspension. But, after further thought and grief from viewers, they made ultimate decision to official terminate Parker.

Those who watch First Take is privy to the controversial comments and discussions frequently made on the show. I guess this time Parker took his comments a little too far.  Hopefully, he will find new employment soon.

Do you think Parker should have been fired for his comment about RGIII??
