It is with deep sadness and utter disappointment that I have to report not to mention try to eventually fathom the mere thought of Boston Celtics’ star Rajon Rondo sitting on the sidelines for the remainder of the season. But unfortunately, that is the case!

After suffering a right knee injury during the Celtics loss to the Hawks late last week, the true extent of his injury was later confirmed over the weekend prior to the Celtics face-off against the Heat. In what I had hoped would not be the case, it was confirmed that the extent of it all was a torn ACL rendering him out of the game for the rest of the season.

Being that he’s one of the best players on the team, his absence could be devastating to their dynamics. But watching them snap their six game losing streak in double OT against the Heat on Sunday sans Rondo, the rest of the team proved that they can still hold it down. So we’ll see how the rest of the season goes for them.

Nonetheless we’re wishing Rondo a speedy recovery and wondering who’ll be taking his place considering he was recently named as the starting point guard for the Eastern Conference for this year’s All-Star Game.
