It’s official! Entertainment veteran Queen Latifah is bringing The Queen Latifah Show to daytime television.

However, this will not be the Queen’s first rodeo with a talk show. Her first round was a talk show of the same name that aired from 1999-2001.

This time around The Queen Latifah Show will feature celebrity interviews, musical performances, stand-up comedy, and human interest topics.  The show will be produced by Latifah and her partner Shakim Compere’s Flavor Unit, Sony Pictures, and Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment.

It looks like Queen Latifah is coming out hard by the look of her executive production team and the level of experience they each bring to the table. According to a press release, the team includes Corin Nelson (Chelsea Lately), Todd Yasui (The Tonight Show), Jack Mori (The Oprah Winfrey Show), Catherine McKenzie (Good Morning America), David Harte (The Late, Late Show w/Craig Ferguson), and Sierra Lindsey (MTV, Obama Campaign).

Also, according to her Facebook post, Jada Pinkett-Smith will also have a hand in producing the show. On the social networking site she wrote, “Wearing my Executive Producer hat, standing beside the next daytime talk show superstar. Starting September 16, 2013, you will be able to kick it with Queen Latifah everyday. We’re gonna have fun.”

The Queen Latifah show makes its debut this fall on Monday, Sept 16th at 11am [EST] on CBS stations. Will you be tuning in???
