Leave it up to Russell Simmons to find a gap in urban social media and creatively fill it up with something innovative.

According to Entreprenuer.com, the music-philanthropic-fashion-media mogul has his eyes set to revolutionize how people brand themselves on Youtube. In this “post-racial” day and age (as he calls it), Russell will launch All Def Digital. With help from Awesome Tv’s CEO Brian Robbins, the two plan to create a central place where individuals can properly manage their brand across numerous media platforms.

For “All Def Digital,” which will officially launch in the spring, Simmons is taking that penchant for churning out professional content and mapping it onto a platform for an urban, millennial audience. “I want to brand people across all forms of media,” he says. “Hollywood lacks the understanding of how to integrate properly to really speak to this post racial America… and that’s what I want to do.”
