For a brief moment, especially with the cancellation of the reality show ‘Starter Wives Confidential and green light, red light action that happened with rapper Shawty Lo’s baby mama drama show, it seemed as the world of reality was about to face some challenges. But have no fear because more reality shows are near.

Coming soon to VH1 is the network’s newest reality show, “The Gossip Game”. The show will shadow the lives of seven female media personalities whose careers revolve what’s happening in  urban entertainment.

“The Gossip Game” premieres Monday, April 1st at 9pm [EST]. Here’s VH1’s description of the show, introduction of the cast and a sneak peek.

Every day, these ambitious women navigate the ever-shifting landscape of the media industry, where they strive to preserve their place in the ‘pecking order’ while chasing the latest exclusive scoop. These rivals, who often find themselves at the epicenter of celebrity controversy, forge an uneasy alliance of friendly foes as they compete to hit their professional marks by being the first to break the latest news and divulge the intimate details of the enviable lives of hip hop’s movers and shakers.
