As much as Lisa Raye vowed that she’d never play the exotic dancer role again, she’s eating her words now. According to several news outlets, Lisa Raye along with Stacy Dash, Carmen Elecktra, and Lynn Whitfield will star in an upcoming film called Lapdance.  The film will appear at the ABFF Film Festival in Miami, Florida this summer.

Lapdance is based on a story by Datari Turner and director Greg Carter, it revolves around an aspiring actress who makes a pact with her fiance’ to take a job as an exotic dancer to care for her cancer stricken father. According to Carlton Jordan, who posted the trailer to his Youtube channel, “once the pact the couple made is broken, there lives are changed forever.”

Okay. So, how many times will the “stripper” story be told?  From the trailer, it doesn’t look like the storyline will captivate audiences whatsoever.  I guess that’s what the half naked women is there to do. But I digress.  The real question though is who really wants to see middle-age women on the pole and lap dancing?  When is it too old to strip?  I’ve been to some seedy spots before and have noticed women in their mid/late 30s dancing. Although their bodies were still somewhat intact, I still couldn’t help but wonder why they chose this as their full-time profession.  Do you know any women that are middle-age and are strippers? If so, hit us up and tell us their story.  This would make interesting conversation.
