tlc-biopicThe music industry’s all-time top selling R&B female group, TLC, will soon see their lives played out on film in an upcoming biopic.  The made-for-television movie is produced by Vh1 and will air in October.  With direct consultation from members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas, the film will recount the rise, fall, and untimely death of third member Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes.

When the initial cast members were announced, the public didn’t receive it too well. Many questioned if KeKe Palmer (Chilli), Lil Mama (Left-Eye), and Drew Sidora (T-Boz) could truly intimidate the group’s looks, style, and signature dance styles.  But, it looks like the casting crew made the right decision. The actresses are going to make viewers do a double take. The similarities are astonishing.

According to MTV, “the biopic will be released in conjunction with a compilation album from the group that will include their biggest hits and a few new songs, including “Posh Life” penned by Lady Gaga and Dallas Austin, and “Meant To Be,” written by Ne-Yo. The group will perform the songs live with Lil’ Mama temporarily standing in as “Left Eye,” while other artists like Drake and J.Cole will potentially join them onstage as well.”

The excitement from the fans has begun to gain some steam with the recent on-set photos and sneak preview released to the public. In case you are wondering if the film will do justice to the groups legacy, take a look for yourself.
