Lil Scrappy has been making major progress in his career over the past year or so.  From his participation on the highly successful reality show “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta”, his stardom has reemerged after being stalled for quite some time. Now, the “Prince of the South” is taking advantage of every opportunity and reclaiming his spot in the rap game.

Recently, Lil Scrappy stopped by a Dallas, Texas radio station (97.9 The Beat) while in town for a show at club Dallas Live.  The reality television star took the time to clear up a few rumors concerning his participation on the show and a recent altercation at an Atlanta convenient store.

As far as LHHATL, Scrap confirmed that he will be returning to television next season. Rumors hit the net last week that another Atlanta-based mom and son duo was going to take him and Momma Dee’s place. The newbie’s “allegedly” premiering on-screen next season will be rapper Waka Flocka and his mom-ager Debra Atney.  Regardless if this is true or not, Lil Scrappy says we WILL see him again.

Another question came up regarding an incident in Atlanta. Scrappy explained that the altercation started when a homeboy continued to annoy him while inside a local convenient store. He says that the things had reached a boiling point when his homie disrespected his current boo, Bambi.  This led to a scuffle in which the cops ended up breaking up the fight. Scrappy did not receive any criminal charges due to his witnessed act of self-defense.

In music news, he released an exclusive track on air called “Nyee”.  Not sure if this is going to appear on an upcoming album or what. But, from the sounds of it, he may have a banger on his hands.
