In 2004, a hot new group hit the scene. They tore up the radio stations and clubs with a highly energetic song “Knuck If You Buck.”  The group (then known as Crime Mob) consisted of four males and two females. Not trying to out-do their male counterparts, Princess and Diamond possessed a quality that demanded audiences to watch and listen. This star quality and rapping skills sent the girls and the rest of the group on to a substantial level of musical success. After the group’s 2004 self-title album release, the six of them recorded another project in 2007 (Hated On Mostly) with lackluster success. The group eventually broke up.

Despite having internal issues and record labels, several members continued to pursue their dreams on their own.  Princess Digital (as she is now known as), for instance, did not allow these circumstances to stop her. Since the group’s dismantling, Princess Digital has released several mixtapes throughout the years (i.e. Dirty Pop, P.S.A., Mixed & Destroyed 3, and Hiatus).  We recently caught up with her on the red carpet of T.I.’s “Peep Show” Birthday Party to find out what projects she’s currently working on.

For starters, Princess Digital revealed that she and her former cohorts are working on a new Crime Mob album! This is great news to their fans. It’s been awhile since anyone has heard music from them as a team. However, Crime Mob did perform at the Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash this year to great reviews. Unfortunately, it was said that Princess did not perform.  But, she is working on Crime Mob’s new project and also on a solo album.

Outside of the music game, Princess Digital has entered the acting world.  She’s set to star in a stage play with Juanita Bynum. Also, the Lifetime Network recently featured Princess Digital on the show “Double Divas.”  She appeared on Season 2 Episode 14 where she allowed the Divas to style her for an upcoming video shoot. Check out that episode HERE.

It is clear that Princess Digital isn’t stopping anytime soon. She’s talented, smart, and still a young woman that can work in different facets of the entertainment business. Music is her first love, therefore, she continues to write for other artists. But, she has her eyes set on the beauty industry as well.  She will soon release more information regarding a new lipstick and hair line.

Over the weekend, she released a new video for “Lose Myself” which is definitely pop inspired. Although we’re not sure how her U.S. fans will respond, this tune should receive major play overseas. Strategically, this is a good plan for Princess Digital…spread the musical talent around to various genres. Ultimately, this will generate more revenue lanes.  Princess Digital is keeping her finger on the pulse, bossin’ up, and we like that.
