quitjob-dance

LMAO…this may be the funniest thing I’ve seen on Youtube in a minute.

Marina Shifrin wanted out of her boring and numbers driven job so bad that she made a dance video. After working for the Taiwanese company for several years, Shifrin decided she’d had enough and was ready to return to New York. Shifrin worked as a video producer and felt that the job prevented her from being creative. Her boss didn’t care too much about how creative her projects were. Instead, he believed that making sure their news-related videos returned a high number of daily hits was most important.

Shifrin disagreed and decided to create a departure video of her own.

“For almost two years I’ve sacrificed my relationships, time and energy for this job,” it reads. “And my boss only cares … about quantity and how many views each video gets. So I figured … I’d make ONE video of my own.”

Shifrin’s parents, friends, and some co-workers all thought the video was hilarious. The video has since reached over 7 million views on Youtube.  The comedic aspect of the video has helped refocus her job search. The 25 year old says she now only looks for jobs that welcome creativity and risk-takers.

Monday was Shifrin’s official last day.
