No. 10 University of Miami Hurricanes defeated the University of North Carolina Tarheels, 27-23 and avoided their first loss of the season. Hurricanes Running Back Dallas Crawford rushed for a career high 137 yards and 2 touchdowns. Crawford also scored the final touchdown of the game with 16 seconds remaining, the Hurricanes still managed to win despite their Quarterback Stephen Morris throwing for 4 interceptions. Both teams had over 500 total yards of offense and the Hurricanes outrushed the Tarheels 234 yards to 105 yards.

The Hurricanes improved to 6-0 and the Tarheels are now 1-5. The Canes are in the picture to play in the ACC Championship game this season. The Canes lost their top Running Back Duke Johnson to injury in the game, after Crawford performance the Canes should have any issues at that position. The Tarheels did have a chance to win the game after moving the ball to Miami’s 28 yard line, Quarterback Bryn Renner pass was incomplete even though the pass was almost caught. The Canes still have to play two teams in the top 20 and if they can won those games they may can play in the BCS Championship game.
