Labeled by viewers as one of the most outspoken of the cast members of TLC’s reality show “The Sisterhood”, Pastor Domonique Scott is back in the spotlight again. Unfortunately, this time it is not in a good way.

On Tuesday, November 26, Domonique Scott was indicted on forgery charges.  A Fulton County grand jury found Scott guilty of first-degree forgery and three counts of giving false statements. Prosecutors were able to prove that Scott claimed ownership of a tutoring company in order to illegitimately secure federal funding. In order to qualify for the federal Supplement Education Services tutoring program, she filed fake documents containing false accounting of assets and liabilities.

According to the AJC, Scott submitted a false balance sheet, false statement of net income, a program summary listing a false start date of her company, and a forged letter from a fictitious bank listing an non-existent cash line.  Clayton, Dekalb, Bibb, and several other GA counties solicited the tutoring services of Scott’s company based on the information provided on the documents, which were later deemed fraudulent.

The Supplement Education Services program eventually removed Scott’s company from their program.

STACKS Magazine had the opportunity to sit-down and talk with her husband Brian Scott back in June of this year.  We were invited to an Organo Gold (coffee) marketing event in downtown Atlanta. The initial plan was to interview Domonique. But, she changed it up that night without notifying us earlier in the week that she wasn’t going to do the interview. At the time it was baffling somewhat as to why she didn’t want to sit down and chat. Considering the recent events, maybe this criminal issue was what deterred her.

It is known that the Scott’s lost their church, The Good Life Ministry. After speaking with Mr. Scott, Domonique’s clothing boutique may have faded away as well.  Some of the answers he provided were vague. Our discussion, however, did confirm to us that the Scott’s are constantly having financial issues. This revelation was also backed by several public documents involving foreclosures and landlord/tenant citations.

Check out our exclusive footage of that interview below:

Most people know that once you fall deep into debt, it is very hard to get out of it.  Sometimes, financial hardships can push people to do certain things that aren’t always legal. Was this the case for Domonique?

With her indictment, Scott faces up to 25 years in prison and up to $400,000 in fines.

We reached out to Mr. Scott for an official statement. He hasn’t responded as of yet.

We’ll keep you posted as this story develops.
