On Saturday, January 11, 2014 elegance united at the GA World Congress Center for the Second Annual Georgia Entertainment Gala. The event shines the spotlight on talented individuals working in the state of Georgia’s entertainment industry. The Black Tie event included a raging 20s theme, red carpet, and an awards ceremony. Many were honored for their outstanding work in film, television and the music industry. Guests were treated to live entertainment and complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and more.

The Georgia Entertainment Gala has garnered the support of a number of community leaders, brands, and organizations thus providing a unique opportunity for sponsors to take part in an unparalleled celebration. With an explosive year under our belt this highly anticipated event will continue to embrace and celebrate the Georgia entertainment industry of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

 

Benefiting the Art program of Bethune Elementary School and Corporate Code Atlanta. Bethune Elementary is a Title-One school located in “Vine City,” a community in Atlanta’s down town area. It is a predominately African-American school, which encourages students to strive for academic excellence. The Art Program uses a Discipline Based Art Education (DBAE) that enriches student’s learning by connecting art concepts to core subjects that incorporate history, aesthetics, art criticism and production. Corporate Code is a nonprofit program designed to assist displaced men reentering the work force by providing them with interview appropriate attire and career counseling. With the growing number of men in need of assistance in transitioning from unemployed to gainfully employment, Corporate Code provides the a much needed Code to a Second Chance!

 

The Georgia Entertainment Gala brought out industry executives, talent, and a host of other notables in film, television, and music. Celebrity guests included Ramona Debreaux (V-103), Carl Payne (“For Better or Worse”), Bryan Michael-Cox (producer), Demetria McKinney (“Meet The Browns”), Rashan Ali (Streetz 94.5), Ebony Steele (“Rickey Smiley Morning Show”), Jacob Lattimore (“Black Nativity”), Erica Mena (“Love & Hip Hop NY”), and many more.
