The Philadelphia 76ers traded Forward/Guard Evan Turner and Forward Lavoy Allen to the Indiana Pacers, and acquired Forward Danny Granger.  Turner was averaging a career-high 17.4 points for the 76ers before the trade and will bring a scoring presence to the Pacers.  Turner will most likely become the Pacers Sixth Man; Turner is also averaging 6 rebounds and 3.7 assists.  Granger was only averaging 8.3 points and 3.6 rebounds for the Pacers before the trade.  Granger has only appeared in 29 games this season and has averaged 22.5 minutes a game.

Granger has been battling injuries again this season; he appeared in a career-low 5 games last season.  Allen averaged 5.2 points and 5.4 rebounds for the 76ers before the trade in 18.8 minutes a game.  Turner will become a restricted free agent this offseason and Pacers Guard Lance Stephenson will become a free agent this off-season.  Stephenson has been averaging career-highs in points, rebounds and assists, Stephenson also leads the NBA in triple-doubles.

The Pacers will have a decision to make on which player to keep or they can make a costly decision and keep Turner and Stephenson.  The Pacers have been adding pieces to their team to hopefully be able to beat the Miami Heat in the playoffs.   Turner is a versatile all-around player that can make an immediate impact with the Pacers, his impact against the Heat will determine if the trade was worth it.
