Perri “Pebbles” Reid still feels some type of way regarding her portrayal in the biggest cable movie of 2013. “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” was a smash hit for millions of viewers who wanted to finally know the truth behind the lives of 3 young girls.

Chilli, T-Boz, and the late Left-Eye left an undeniable mark on the culture and the music industry. As the largest selling female-group of all time, every Cinderella story has to have a few bumps. With TLC’s, it was their finances that caused a lot of grief between the group and their label/management. And for that, the girls sued their former label, LaFace Records and Pebble’s company, Pebbitone.

Nowadays, it is Pebbles who is feeling some flack because of how she was represented in the biopic. According to her $40 million lawsuit, she blames Viacom (the owner of the VH1 network) for depicted her character under false pretenses.

Viacom, VH1’s parent company, portrays Reid “as a conniving and dishonest business woman who hoodwinked three innocent girls and exploited their talent for her own personal gain.” The suit also alleges that the network “ignored fundamental canons of journalistic and literary conduct by publishing false and defamatory accusations with actual malice.”

No word yet from Viacom regarding the suit. But, to read Pebble’s full public statement, go HERE.
