On Saturday, April 5th, STACKS Magazine held their official digital relaunch and MoneySmartWeek™ kick-off event. The event was hosted by Shijuana “Ms. Bels” Bornes (owner/publisher), Bernice (actress, “South Beach Tow”), and Gocha Hawkins (owner, Gocha Salon) and held at the Microsoft store – Lenox Square Mall.

STACKS Magazine, established in 2008, is a financially-inspired entertainment based online editorial source that focuses on four major areas: Music, Fashion, Film/TV, and Sports. The digital publication provides daily news, resources, and tips to help readers understand the entertainment industry from a behind-the-scenes and business-oriented outlook. The goal of the magazine is to educate readers on failures and successes of key players in order to create profitable and rewarding careers of their own.

During the event, Ms. Bels discussed the ideals of the magazine and plans to educate readers. Venus Lockett, founder of Urban Asset Builders and Chairman of MoneySmartWeek™ – Greater Atlanta committee, shared a few words about the week long list of free financial workshops offered throughout the city. Bernice and Gocha Hawkins both reflected on their association with the magazine and their personal careers and financial understandings.

Dice Dixon (“La La’s Full Court”), Jakeem Smith (J Productions), Big A (rap artist), Kore Stacks (rap artist), Antonio Ramsey (R&B artist), 3D The Boss (artist), Kayo The Prince (artist), and other industry and non-industry supporters came out to help celebrate the occasion, network, and treat themselves to food provided by the STACKS Magazine team. DJ Ryno, of Get Busy DJ’s, was on the one’s and two’s.
