ScoreBoard: Pacers Beat Heat In Game 1 of Eastern Conference Finals (107-96)

Paul George‘s 24 points and 7 assists helped the Indiana Pacers defeat the Miami Heat 107-96 in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals. All of the Pacers starters scored 15 points or more and the Pacers had six players in double-figures. Roy Hibbert had 19 points and a team-high 9 rebounds for the Pacers. Lance Stephenson had 17 points, game-high 8 assists and 4 rebounds for Indiana. The Pacers outrebounded the Heat 39 to 28 and made 42.1% of their three-pointers compared to the Heat 26.1%.

Dwyane Wade scored a game-high 27 points for the Heat. LeBron James had 25 points, game-high 10 rebounds and team-high 5 assists for the Heat. Ray Allen came off the bench with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Miami. Chris Andersen came off the bench for Miami with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks.

 

Miami will need to win Game 2 so they don’t go back to Miami down two games. The Pacers knew home court advantage was important if they wanted to advance past Miami. Indiana played like the team with the best record in the East this game and Miami will need to continue playing like the best team in the playoffs if they want to win Game 2.
