On Saturday (June 14), the 19th annual Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash went underway at Philips Arena. The city of Atlanta is known for many of the music industry’s hottest artists. So, it was only right for them to show up and show out at the city’s most well-known (and talked about) events.

This year, Atlanta’s own Future headlined the stage performances. During his set, he performed “Same D*mn Time” and also brought out DTP CEO, Ludacris on “Sh*t”.  DJ Drama anchored a portion of the concert with the west coast was properly represented as YG hit the stage along with his boss man, Young Jeezy. The two performed YG’s platinum-selling hit “My Ni**a”.  Wiz Khalifa also took to the stage and performed his summer banger “We Dem Boyz”.

Rick Ross, who is considered a ATL resident now since his purchase of Evander Holyfield’s sprawling estate, hit the stage looking much lighter these days. The noticeable weight loss did the body good as Ross tore the stage up with “F*ck With Me You Know I Got It” and “The Devil Is A Lie”, both of which were featured on his latest Mastermind album. MMG artist Meek Mill lit the stage up with “I’m A Boss”.

Other worthwhile names that took to the stage that evening were Yo Gotti, Young Dro, Que, PeeWee Longway, B.O.B, Cash Out, K Camp, Kid Ink, Mase and the only female performer Sevyn Streeter.

Although each of the artists who performed did their thing, there were a couple names left out this year.  Many of the concert-goers felt slighted a little bit because Rich Homie Quan, T.I., Migos, and Young Thug were not at the show.  That’s crazy considering all of them have some of the hottest songs out right now.
