Diana Taurasi scored a season-high 32 points and 6 assists to help the Phoenix Mercury beat the Los Angeles Sparks 94-89. Penny Taylor had 17 points and 6 assists for the Mercury. Brittney Griner and Candice Dupree each had 15 points for Phoenix and Griner had a game-high 4 blocks. Dewanna Bonner had 11 points and team-high 8 rebounds for Phoenix. All the starters for the Mercury scored in double-figures and the Mercury have won seven games in a row. The Mercury improve to 13-3 and still have the best record in the WNBA.

Candace Parker led the Sparks with 27 points, 8 rebounds and team-high 6 assists. Kristi Toliver had 26 points and 4 assists for the Sparks. Nneka Ogwumike had 14 points, 7 rebounds and game-high 5 steals for the Sparks. Jantel Lavender had 8 points and game-high 11 rebounds for the Sparks. The Sparks fall to 7-10 and is currently in fourth place in the West conference.
