PHOTOS: 1st Annual Promoters vs DJs Charity Basketball Game

Them boys got game!

The Mickey Walker Recreation Center located in Elizabeth, NJ was the place to be this past weekend. On Saturday August 16th, a few of New Jersey’s favorite promoters and DJ’s came together in a game of basketball, to help raise money for charity.

Jersey’s own Terrique (@riquedollazatm) and Jazmine (@jazzy2sweetz) presented the 1st Annual Promoters vs DJ’s Charity Basketball Game. The host of the evening was Murda Mami’s, 1st Lady EL, guest sports commentator Gucci gave the spectators play by play while DJ Shy kept the crowd pumped.

Whether you are a basketball fanatic or not, you were definitely guaranteed to be drawn into this game and its intensity on Saturday. Both, Team Promoters and Team DJs, came into this game very strong from the start with hopes to take the win and bragging rights.

Ultimately, only one team can come out on top and with a final score of 71-65, Team Promoters took the game.

In addition to a great game, a few members of the community came out to lend helping hand. There were cupcakes and dinners for sale, as well as toys collected for the Toys For Tots Foundation. It’s always a good thing to see people come together for a great cause.
