Many of us dream of becoming a millionaire. But, how do we make that shift from dreamland to achieving financial success? Below are four habits that shape many millionaires’ mindsets and can help transform anyone from a wisher to a witness.

1.     Have a side hustle. Because there is no such thing as job security, it’s important to develop a side hustle to earn money for those rainy days or for treating yourself to something special. Many wealthy people lay their eggs in more than one basket like Warren Buffet, Oprah Winfrey, and Donald Trump to name a few.

2.     Sell more than you buy. It’s tempting to try and keep up with the Kardashians and spend all of your hard earned cash on designer brands or the latest trends, but be forewarned. There are only two kinds of people: producers and consumers. If you’re always the consumer, you’ll end up working all your life. To combat it, try selling or investing your money on assets to put automatic money back into your pocket on a regular basis.

3.     Invest in yourself. Your money can only grow as much as your mind does, which is why it’s important to learn from a mentor who can help elevate you to the next level. A good way to do that is to take classes, read self-help books, listen to podcasts, seminars, etc. It’s called leveraging. Why do it the hard way, when someone else knows a short cut?

4.     Step out of your comfort zone. Trying to always spoil ourselves with comfort is typically the reason why we don’t end up with the type of results we’re looking for when we really need it. Sometimes we have to be fearless and be willing to achieve success at any cost, like we’re in a state of emergency. We have to chant, “I will” and “I can” and then go.
