The Cincinnati Bengals scored 21 unanswered points to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 24-10. Bengals Quarterback Andy Dalton threw for 252 yards and a touchdown to Wide Receiver Mohamed Sanu. Sanu led the Bengals with 84 yards receiving. Sanu also completed a 50 yard pass to Running Back Ben Tate that setup a field goal and Kicker Mike Nugent missed the 38-yard field goal attempt. Bengals Running Back Giovani Bernard led the Bengals with 90 yards rushing, led the Bengals with 5 catches for 79 yards and had a rushing touchdown. Bengals Rookie Running Back Jeremy Hill finished with 74 yards and his first career rushing touchdown. The Bengals finished with 472 total yards and could have scored more points if Nugent would have made the three field-goals that he missed. The Bengals improve to 2-0 and are 2-0 for first time since 2006.

Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan played poorly throwing for 231 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. Falcons Wide Receiver Julio Jones finished the game with 7 catches for 88 yards, both game-highs and a touchdown. Falcons Running Back Steven Jackson led the Falcons with 46 yards rushing and the Falcons only rushed for a total of 97 yards. The Falcons rushing attack still needs to improve and the defense didn’t look any better either. Falcons Wide Receiver Devin Hester only had 1 catch for 2 yards after having a breakout game last week with 5 catches for 99 yards.

The Falcons host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Thursday after only a few day’s rest. The Bucs are 0-2 and will bring their A game seeking their first victory. The Falcons are 1-1 now and need to win this division game to improve to 2-0 in the NFC South.
