The Atlanta Falcons destroyed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 56-14. The Falcons scored all of their points in the first three quarters and the Bucs scored theirs in the fourth quarter. Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan completed an amazing 21 out of 24 passes for 286 yards and 3 touchdowns. Falcons Wide Receiver Julio Jones had 9 catches for 161 yards with 2 touchdowns, all game-highs. Falcons Running Back Steven Jackson rushed for a game-high 54 yards and had a rushing touchdown. Falcons Wide Receiver Devin Hester returned a 62-yard punt for a touchdown and set the NFL record with 20 return touchdowns. Hester also rushed for a 20-yard touchdown for the Falcons.

The Bucs looked horrible from the start and were completely dominated by the Falcons. Bucs Quarterback Mike Glennon threw for 121 yards and 1 touchdown. Bucs Running Back Bobby Rainey led the Bucs with 41 rushing and 64 yards receiving. The Falcons had 26 first downs compared to the Bucs 10 and the Falcons had a total of 488 yards compared to the Bucs 217 yards. The Bucs are now 0-3 and going to have a long season ahead of them if their offense doesn’t improve.

The Falcons are now 2-1 and are 2-0 in the NFC South division. The Falcons basically had a practice game against the Bucs and will travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings on September 28th. If Running Back Adrian Peterson isn’t back for the Vikings by then, the Falcons should have another cruise control game and victory. The Falcons did more than Rise Up against the Bucs, they came, saw and conquered the Bucs.
