Rapper Rocko Awarded ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at MP3Waxx Luncheon [PHOTOS]

BET Hip Hop Awards weekend in Atlanta was filled with people from all over and enough events/parties to last a lifetime. This year, STACKS Magazine had the opportunity to attend several of these events.  One in particular was refreshing in that it took time out to honor some of the industry’s most successful behind-the-scenes talent.

The MP3Waxx Producers & DJs Honors Luncheon took place at Vibes Lounge on Saturday, September 20th. During the event, various individuals were honored for their undying contribution to hip hop music.

One of those individuals was Rodney Ramone Hill Jr aka Rocko.

The A1 Recordings CEO carved a spot for himself in the rap game in the early 2000s. Since then, he’s leveraged his talent and undeniable business sense to spear head the careers of artists like Young Dro, Dem Frnachize Boyz, and Future. His ability to gain success as an independent label and artist, for over 10 years, is one of the reasons why he’s a well-respected man among his peers.

On Saturday, MP3Waxx saluted Rocko’s outstanding entrepreneurial abilities and awarded him Entrepreneur of the Year. Below is a picture Rocko posted on his Instagram page of the award.

In addition, other special honorees included Bryan Michael Cox, Drumma Boy, DJ Mustard, DJ Toomp, Mannie Fresh, Jazzy Pha, Luney Tunez, DJ Scream, DJ Holiday, Bigga Rankin, DJ Nina 9, K. Foxx, DJ Mark Da Spot, DJ Nasty, J Nicks, DJ Bay Bay, L Nyce, DJ SNS, DJ Dr. Doom, DJ 33 1/3, DJ Mars, DJ Funky, DJ Hi-C, DJ OO Kee, DJ Krunch One, DJ Lomaxx, DJ Klassik, and DJ Johnny O.  Also, Drummay Boy and Bigga Rankin were the official hosts for the day.
