Snoop Dogg Returns as Host of 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards + Presents ‘Gladiator’ Rap Battle in ATL, Sept 19

For the second year in a row, rapper Snoop Dogg will host the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards. The taping will take place in Atlanta in two weeks and will feature the hottest artists and culture junkies in the game.

This year, Snoop Dogg is doing something special for the battle rappers. He will host the Gladiator School, which is a platform for emcees to compete against some of the best freestylers in the U.S.  The event will take place on September 19th at Masquerade at 695 North Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.

Snoop will host the competition along with NY Battle Rapper, Murda Mook.

“Battling is an art form that I respect and grew up on. I’m looking forward to bringing my Gladiator School to Atlanta, these are gonna be epic battles to see who really is the best in the country,” said Snoop Dogg.  “This is the hottest event outside of the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta. Put up or shut up. Don’t meet me there, beat me there. U Hear Me!”

If you think you have what it takes to win a Wild Card spot, Snoop is hosting an open online audition for hopefuls to earn a chance to compete against the best of the best at Gladiator School. Emcees can enter by creating a 30-60 second video spitting their best verse and submitting their video on their social networks using the hashtag @SnoopDogg  #GladiatorSchool.
