Chargers Beat Raiders, 31-28; Bears Hand Falcons 3rd Straight Loss, 27-13

The San Diego Chargers scored the final 10 points of the game to come from behind and beat the Oakland Raiders 31-28. Chargers Quarterback Phillip Rivers threw for 313 yards and 3 touchdowns. Chargers Rookie Running Back Branden Oliver rushed for a game-high 101 yards and scored the winning touchdown that gave the Chargers the lead for good. Raiders Rookie Quarterback Derek Carr had his best game of his career passing for 282 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. Raiders Wide Receiver Andre Holmes had 4 catches for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Chargers improve to 5-1 with the best record in the AFC West and the Raiders are 0-5.

The Chicago Bears went on the road to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 27-13. Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler looked impressive throwing for 381 yards and 1 touchdown. Bears Wide Receivers Alshon Jeffrey had 5 catches for 136 yards and Brandon Marshall had 6 catches for 113 yards. Bears Running Back Matt Forte rushed for 80 yards, had 10 catches for 77 yards with 2 rushing touchdowns his first touchdowns of the season. Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 271 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

The Falcons rushing attack struggled again only gaining 42 yards rushing. The Bears improve to 3-3 and all their victories have come on the road. The Falcons are now 2-4 and have lost three games in a row. The Falcons don’t have a running game, some of their offensive line is injured and their defensive is ranked 31st in the league for yards allowed. It’s a good chance the Falcons will be drafting in top 10 again next season.
