NBA star Lebron James debuted his rags-to-riches comedy series to low numbers on Saturday (Oct. 4).

The show premiered on STARZ at 9PM. Compared to the show “Outlander,” which previously held that same time slot, “Survivors Remorse” premiered with 71% less viewership. According to Deadline.com, 50 Cent’s show “Power” also garnered over 56% more viewers when it debuted on STARZ.

To put that in context, that debut is down a hard 71% from what previous time-slot holder Outlander got in its August 9 premiere. The premiere of the half-hourSurvivor’s Remorse also saw a drop of 56% from what fellow newbie drama Powerpulled in its June 7 debut in the same Saturday slot. Now, even though those shows shared the same slot, it’s not totally comparing apples to apples as cable comedies generally never do as well as dramas. However, in this case, the fall is undeniably harsh for the highly praised show – even on what was a big baseball night. On the flipside, both Power and Outlander have been renewed for second seasons.
