AFC Matchup: Patriots Beat Broncos, 43-21

The New England Patriots scored 24 unanswered points in the 2nd quarter to defeat the Denver Broncos 43-21. Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady threw for 333 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception to four different players. Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski had 9 catches for 105 yards with a touchdown and Patriots Wide Receiver Julius Edelman had 9 catches for 89 yards with a touchdown and Edelman also returned an 84-yard punt for a touchdown. Brandon LaFell and Shane Vereen both caught one of Brady’s touchdown. The Patriots improve to 7-2 and have the best record in the AFC now.

Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning passed for 438 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Broncos Wide Receiver Emmanuel Sanders had 10 catches and 151 yards receiving both game-highs. Broncos Wide Receiver Demaryius Thomas had 7 catches for 127 yards. Broncos Running Back Ronnie Hillman rushed for a touchdown and had a receiving touchdown. Broncos Tight End Julius Thomas caught Manning’s other touchdown. The Broncos are 6-2 and still have the best record in the AFC West. The Patriots have been the hottest team in the NFL with a league high five-game winning streak.
