Karen Civil, one of today’s most sought after digital media and marketing mavens, recently launched the Live Civil Playground in her parents native country Haiti. In conjunction with the Sow a Seed non-profit organization, the new facility will serve as an educational landscape for local kids.

The playground will be equipped with various areas built from recycled material designed for children to perform stage plays, host lectures, read books, and use interactive musical instruments. Educational games will use recycled tires to help teach strategy building and problem solving skills. Fun is definitely a key component of Live Civil Playground, which will be equipped with slides, swings, climbing towers, motorcycles, and much more.

The project is the second learning landscape for Project PlayWorld. With funding provided by Karen Civil and the Live Civil Fund, the playground’s goal is to provide a safe recreational outlet for the children of Haiti. Additional monetary support was also provided by several notables in the hip-hop community: Mack Maine (President of YMCMB), Funkmaster Flex, Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle, Andrea Berto (Haitian boxer), Joie Manda (President of Urban Music at Interscope Records), DJ Steph Floss (Official DJ for the Cleveland Cavaliers) and Jameel Davis.
