Falcons 2nd Half Comeback Not Enough, Steelers Win 27-20

The Atlanta Falcons tried to make a second-half comeback, but it wasn’t enough as the Pittsburgh Steelers held on for a 27-20 win at the Georgia Dome. The Falcons trailed 20-7 at halftime and scored 13 second-half points. Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back Le’Veon Bell rushed for a game-high 47 yards, had 72 yards receiving and led the Steelers with two rushing touchdowns. Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passed for a game-high 360 yards. Wide Receiver Antonio Brown led the Steelers with 10 catches for 123 yards.

 
Quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 310 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception for the Falcons. With star receiver Julio Jones out for the Falcons, Wide Receiver Harry Douglas filled in with 10 catches and game-high 131 yards receiving. Falcons Wide Receiver Devin Hester stepped up with 5 catches for 85 yards with a touchdown. Falcons Wide Receiver Roddy White had 7 catches for 58 yards and a touchdown. Running Back Steven Jackson led the Falcons with 46 yards rushing.

The Steelers improve to 9-5. The Falcons are 5-9 and no longer in first place in the NFC South division.
