Hawks Al Horford Wins Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Atlanta Hawks Center Al Horford was named the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played December 15th-21st. Horford led the Hawks to a 3-0 record while averaging 18.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.67 blocks and 1 steal per game. Horford helped the Hawks defeat some of the best teams in league with wins against the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets. In a 93-86 victory against the Bulls, Horford had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

In a 127-98 blowout victory against the Cavs, Horford made 10 out of 14 shots scoring 20 points to go along with 4 assists and 2 blocks. Horford scored 14 points, had 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks in a 104-97 victory against the Rockets.

Horford is currently averaging 14.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks a game. The Hawks have a 20-7 record and have the second best record in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks have won four games in a row and are 9-1 in their last 10 games.
