Stevie J’s Legal (and Drug) Battles are Looking Positive…

The federal case against “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star Stevie J may soon reach a plea deal.

Recent developments in Stevie J’s case suggests that the reality star will soon work out a settlement with the Feds. As you know,  Stevie J was arrested for over one million in unpaid child support to two teenage kids born in 1997 and 1998. At the time of arrest, he had been ordered to pay $8,800 in monthly child support to his children’s mother. But, after not paying a dime since 2001, Stevie’s total payment skyrocketed to $1,107,412.

Now, court documents shows that his reality show money and music royalties may be sufficient enough to pay back the debt. The Feds are certain that negotiations will be made soon and that a final decision on jail time (or no jail time) will be announced at Stevie’s next court date, which is scheduled for January 9th.

But wait there’s more…

If you are a fan of LHHATL and the shenanigans between Stevie J and his boo, Joseline Hernandez, then you know there’s been speculation of drug use.

Well well well…it looks like the drug rumors are true!

Federal officials say that Stevie J tested positive for marijuana and cocaine on 10 occasions within the last six months. Between June 2014 and December 2o14, his urine samples were positive and prosecutors aren’t too happy about it.

Prosecutors are demanding that Stevie be placed in a drug abuse program for 30 days. Stevie J’s attorney, Michael Bellinger, however, is fighting for his client to stay free so that he can work.
