Rihanna captivated the paparazzi – and the crowd – last night while celebrating the inaugural 2014 Diamond Ball. The ball was held at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, CA.

The 26-year old Barbados beauty hosted the event in honor of The Clara Lionel Foundation, which she founded in 2012. The organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts, and culture.

Rihanna shared her sentiments about the occasion via Twitter:

“Feel so lucky to have an evening like this, to spend with people with hearts like mine, who want to change and save lives at any cost!”

“There’s so much to do, and I can’t do it all by myself, so I have to thank all of the supporters of and people who donated to #TheClaraLionelFoundation Looking forward to seeing you later this evening.”

Since the age of 17, Rihanna has helped raise tens of millions of dollars for charitable causes, many of which she has personally donated to. Her remarkable and inspiring legacy of service to others will continue in the mission, programs, and partnerships of the Clara Lionel Foundation.”

Last nights black-tie affair was a grand celebration as many of the industry’s who’s who were in attendance to give full support, as well as, Rihanna’s own family and closest associates. As a special treat, Rihanna even performed several of her hits, in a full gown, with her very own live orchestra.
