HomeFeatureMUSIC: @ill_esha & @_keonthetrack’s Autopilot EP admin Thursday, January 15, 2015 Feature, Music, On The Block Looks like our boy K.E. On the Track has been working hard in the lab. This came across our desk, so we decided to check it out since its EDM-influenced, and yeah, we like different stuff over here! Well, it seems like super-producer, K.E., has teamed up with ill-esha on a new EP project, Autopilot. ill-esha’s name is not familiar with us here at STACKS Magazine. So, we did a little research (aka Wikipedia..lol) and what we found out is that she’s Canadian, but resides in Denver, CO. She is a bonafide electronic music DJ and singer, producer, and is heavy in the “glitch hop” genre. Fans love her because of her unique ability to sing and DJ at the same da*n time. Their EDM/Hip-Hop collaboration is a delightful merge of production stylings. According to an AudibleTreats’s announcement… …the EP is co-produced by ill-esha and K.E. On the Track, both artists drift through an electronic galaxy of synth-driven emotions and subtle guitar feels. ill-esha’s soft, hypnotic vocals marinate with unhinged optimism as the duo takes listeners on their playfully love-laden journey. The EP was described by The Untz as “a myriad of contemporary production stylings with the clever twists of each veteran beatmaker,” adding, “this sound is only going to serve to bring both of these talented producers to a wider audience.” Autopilot begins with the sugar-pop ode, “Stop Playin’,” with EARMILK describing ill-esha’s vocals as “fun and exciting, and she’s got talent to back it all up.” “Lighting Strikes” continues the momentum of “Stop Playin'” with a searing guitar rift and another infectious hook. Psalm One and Fluffy stop over on the club-ready “Tell Me More” to add a little edge to ill-esha and K.E.’s already undeniable chemistry. Definitely a different look for K.E.. It feels good to see people branch out from the norm. In case you don’t know who he is, his best known for various hits from Nicki Minaj, Future, Rick Ross and Jay-Z’s “The Devil Is a Lie,” which is his most recent and highly publicized record.
