Amidst the recent lawsuit judgement of $7.4 million, the family of Marvin Gaye wants more money. This time, T.I. and several music labels are on the chopping block. Unfortunately, T.I. says Gaye’s family is barking up the wrong tree.

While spotted exiting LAX airport, TMZ cameras caught up with T.I. and to see how he feels about the family suing him for his part in the creation of “Blurred Lines.”

I have nothing but admiration and respect for the family and the estate of Marvin Gaye,” T.I. told TMZ when asked about potentially being included in the verdict. “I have nothing but extreme support for my partner Pharrell. Whatever happens, the universe will deal with it, man. I know that I’m a writer. I’m a creator. I don’t steal from anybody creatively when I make my music.

T.I. is 100 percent sure he will win this fight, which is probably true. His only contributions to the song were 16 bars and a few ad-libs. Ironically, this isn’t the first time T.I. and Marvin Gaye’s name been used in the same sentence. On 2012’s Trouble Man album, T.I. used a Marvin Gaye sample on “The Introduction,” which he credited the late soul singer as “co-writer.”
