NBA Analyst Kenny Smith Shines Light on Family Life on ‘Meet The Smiths’

Former NBA star Kenny “The Jet” Smith has finally taking the plunge into reality TV. On April 3rd, Kenny Smith and his wife, Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith, premiered the first episode of “Meet The Smiths” on TBS. The show follows the daily hectic-yet-funny family life of the NBA analyst, his wife, and their five children.

Although he’s been in front of the camera for quite some time, Kenny says reality TV wasn’t something they wanted to just jump right into. In fact, he’d been steadily against doing it for several years now.

“This is is like 4 years of “no’s” and then finally a “YES” from us. Like I said, it was just the right timing. I watch television a lot. Seeing what was on television, I said there might be a void for what we offer.”

Kenny and Gwendolyn have children from previous relationships: KJ and Kayla (Kenny’s son and daughter) and Monique (Gwendolyn’s daughter).  But, then there’s Malloy and 2-year-old London, of which are were born during their marriage.

“Meet the Smiths” airs on Fridays at 9/8C on TBS!
