This past Friday (May 8th), La La Anthony stopped through the ATL to promote her latest book, “The Power Playbook: Rules for Independence, Money, and Success“. This is her second offering as an author. La La Anthony’s first book, “The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness,” became a #1 New York Times bestseller. Now, the devoted mother, actress, and entrepreneur has released a new set of rules in “The Power Playbook”. The book is a guide to forging professional success, establishing financial independence, and finding balance for a truly satisfying life.

The book signing was held at Barnes & Noble in Buckhead. Fans lined up to get an autographed copy of the book and a photo with La La. Her family, which included her brother Diego Cash and cousin/BFF Dice Dixon, came out in support. Also, several celebrities stopped through like The Game, DTP Co-founder Chaka Zulu, Bleu Davinci, Mr. Ruggs, Fly Ty, and others.

While onsite, La La exclusively shared with STACKS Magazine some of her thoughts on finding your passion and money vs. power.

My advice would be…I mean, everybody has something that they “like” to do. So, you have to figure out what is that you like to do. Because you can’t find what your passion is, if you don’t know what you like to do. If you can’t figure out what kind of job you want, just think about what it is that I like doing and then go from there.

I don’t equate power with money. I know some of the most rich people who are miserable and don’t feel powerful. Power to me is having self-esteem. Believing in yourself and doing good for other people. I talk about that in the book [The Power Playbook].

Atlanta was one of several cities on La La’s “Power Playbook” promo run. With her gig on “Power” on Showtime and other business ventures, we wondered how the mother of one stays prepared for the world. Well, La La reveals her Top 3 Things She Must-Have Before Leaving The House.

1. PEN – I think you [business women] should always have everyday in your bag – and this is so simple – is a pen. You never know when you’re going to meet somebody and need to write some information down.

2 EYELINER – Eyeliner can always brighten up your face no matter what.

3. PERFUME – Always have a little bit of perfume because you what to smell good when you’re talking to people.

“The Power Playbook” is now available online and in stores.
