Indiana woman leaves child for dead….

24 year-old Alicia Keir will be charged for the death of her child on a cruise ship.

The incident happened back in October 2011 on a Caribbean cruise ship heading towards St. Maarten. Keir gave birth to the child on the ship without making her traveling companions aware and wrapped the baby up in towels and placed it under the bed. A cleaning crew found the baby the next day when the ship arrived at the port in St. Maarten. “She did not move. She did not make a sound,” Keir told U.S. District Judge Rudy Lozano, saying she knew the baby was born alive.

The case has been bond over to Keir’s residency in Indiana as she faces up to eight years in prison and a fine up to $250,000.
