Kerry Washington is set to play Oklahoma law professor Anita Hill in the HBO film, Confirmation. The network recently released “first look” photos of Washington as Hill. Her demeanor is dead on, but the “look” not so much. But, we’re sure Washington will do a great job at the role.

Others in the film are Kimberly Elise (For Colored Girls), Kristen Ariza (The Utopian Society) and Malcolm Gets (Caroline In The City), Jennifer Hudson, Greg Kinnear, Alison Wright, Eric Stonestreet, Jeffery Wright, and Wendell Pierce (who will play the role of Clarence Thomas).

The film details the explosive 1991 confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas (Wendell Pierce) that were rocked by testimony by Oklahoma law professor Anita Hill (Washington), which brought the country to a standstill and forever changed the way we think about sexual harassment, victims’ rights and modern race relations.
