Well, here’s a comedian we haven’t seen on the stage for many years, Chris Tucker. The Eastside Atlanta-native is back and will premiere his first-ever comedy special on Friday, July 10th on Netflix. Funny thing is…he’s being sued for it.

According to Variety, Chris Tucker and Netflix are being sued by fellow comedian Terry Hodges. Hodges claims that the “Friday” actor and Netflix owes him $66,000 in unpaid fees for his writing, editing, acting, and production work done for this project. However, Tucker’s attorney Marty Singer says that the lawsuit is “absurd and completely without merit”.

Hodges says he’s worked for Tucker since 2008 and haven’t been paid “consistently” since 2011.

Who works for 3 years without getting paid??  This sounds like a bunch of foolery. But, we’ll have to see what happens in court.

Don’t forget to watch “Chris Tucker Live” on Netflix this Friday!
