FOOLERY: Meek Mill vs. Drake Beef

Last night’s Twitter and Instagram activity was off-the-chain after rapper Meek Mill decided to go on this unexpected rant. What spawned Meek to snap, some speculated that it had something to Drake not tweeting the link to his latest album, Dreams Worth More Than Money. But later in the wee hours of the morning, it was revealed (via Karen Civil) that Meek was pissed after Drake didn’t show up to his homecoming concert in Philly.

The foolish part about Meek’s emotional breakdown is that he claimed Drake didn’t write his own raps. He tweeted the name Quentin Miller. Apparently, this guy is an Atlanta native and is responsible for writing Drake’s verse on “R.I.C.O.” What most lurkers, especially those who stan for the 6 God, is that Drake’s preference to use ghostwriters is nothing new. That rumor about Drake has been around for several years. So, Meek probably thought is was putting Drizzy on blast, but instead made himself look foolish.

NO ONE REALLY CARES IF DRAKE DOESN’T WRITE HIS OWN RAPS!

At least I don’t. Diddy, Beyonce…hell even Meek’s boo Nicki Minaj has had her ex-Safaree write bars on an album or two. So, if Meek is going to call people out, call out everybody. IJS…

What’s going to be interesting is how Drake will respond. I suspect that he’ll respond via record, of which he will have written on his own. LOL   And that song will overshadow anything that Meek has done lately. Sorry not sorry. In my opinion, Drake is better at what he do. That’s why he’s in his own lane and selling millions of records. And NO, I’m not a Drake stan. I’m just a lover of hip-hop and music in general. Meek Mill is talented too. However, he comes from a different world than Drake. Therefore his music is much more grimy and street-influenced.

I like Meek’s energy but somethings are best left unsaid. Yeah, the Twitter rant may show you got balls, however, this showed that Meek has one ball because he half-assed the rant. Like I said, if you’re going to put people on blast and insinuate that you will “call out” other rappers too, THEN DO THAT!

Go hard or go home…
