Houston rapper, Trae Tha Truth, is set to release his seventh studio album Tha Truth on July 24th. The 16-track album will feature collaborations with T.I., Rick Ross, Future, Boosie, Rich Homie Quan, Dej Loaf, J. Cole, Lil Bibby, Nipsey Hussle, Problem, Jeremih, Ty Dolla $ign, Que, Ink, Lil Boss, and Don Primo. The first single off of Tha Truth is “Yeah Hoe,” which is a heavy west coast-driven track that features Problem and Lil Boss. It was reported that initially Trae Tha Truth’s Grand Hustle Records/Major Label debut was going to be a double disc with 24-tracks. Although we’re not sure as to why the idea of a double disc was scrapped, the reason may as very well been because double disc are a thing of the past. Why present way too much music when you can easily save it for the next project?? It’s been close to four years since fans got an album from Trae Tha Truth. Yes, Tha Truth is drenched in artist features. But, true supporters will know that it’s probably to help elevate Trae so that he can get the radio spins and global recognition he deserves. Geesh, the man’s been grinding since the late 90’s. It’s his time to shine! Trae Tha Truth’s 8th annual TRAE DAY festivities will kick-off this week as well. The yearly event serves as an official holiday in the city of Houston (July 22). Families in the community will bask in free health screenings, school supplies, HIV testing, and a chance to meet-n-greet with some of Trae’s celebrity friends.
