Apparently Kanye’s new album, Swish, has stirred up quite the demand for its release since his last single, “All Day,” circulated five months ago. A fan drafted a petition to the White House hoping President Obama would demand West to release his album on August 21st.

“Kanye West has kept us thirsty for too long,” the petition read. “We haven’t gotten any new singles in months. The President should order Ye to drop the album on the date August, 21st as his producer Mike Dean has been teasing people about.”

The fan drafted this petition on Wednesday (Aug. 12) on the website, White House We the People; and seems to not be alone. West fans who signed the petition are all in favor of West releasing the new album.

When a petition reaches over 100,000 signatures within 30 days the Obama administration has to respond.

Fans of West got their answer on Aug. 13, when the Obama administration shut it down, claiming the petition violated the sites terms of participation. It was removed shortly afternoon on Wednesday under the moderation policy.

The flaw in the petition was that Kanye did not state when he was going to release the album; and seemingly President Obama simply does not care when Kanye releases his next album, the petition is not a state of major concern for the economy.

Kanye’s producer, Mike Dean, spoke with Montreality, last week about when fans can expect the new album, and all he said was, “Whenever Kanye says it’s done, it’s done.”
