Michael Vick Signs with Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Quarterback Michael Vick to a one-year deal. The 35-year old has a good chance of backing up starter Ben Roethlisberger. Quarterback Landry Jones has played well in the preseason so far. Vick is a four-time Pro Bowler and has way more experienced than Jones. If Roethlisberger was to get hurt, Vick could fill in and the team shouldn’t miss a beat.

Vick played for the New York Jets last season, throwing 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Last season Vick didn’t get much playing time and probably won’t receive much this season. With Vick’s speed he probably will be used in short yardage and goal-line situations. Vick is still better than some of the starting Quarterbacks in the NFL and the Steelers now have one of the best backup Quarterbacks in the league.
